Lead Budtender (Full-Time) – Embr Dispensary

Pay: $19/hour + benefits
Schedule: Full-time (open availability required: days, nights, weekends, holidays)

About the Role

Embr Dispensary is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Budtender to support daily retail operations and lead a high-performing team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on customer experience, team development, compliance, and inventory control in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily dispensary operations including opening/closing procedures
Supervise, coach, and support budtenders and retail leads
Ensure accurate cash handling, drawer balancing, and sales reporting
Maintain compliant inventory processes (receiving, stocking, audits)
Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards
Train staff on products, procedures, and compliance requirements
Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching
Maintain compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations
Collaborate with leadership, compliance, and operations teams
Support store organization, workflow efficiency, and team culture

Qualifications

Must be 21+ years old
1+ year cannabis industry experience required
Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and regulations
Experience with POS systems (Blaze preferred) and METRC is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Excel skills a plus)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Physical Requirements
